Digitization of Archive Materials
such as Photographic Prints, Drawings, Prints, Certificates, etc.
The Berlinische Galerie (www.berlinischegalerie.de) has been working with the Langfeld Engineering/Rencay systems since Summer of 2013. Since that time, they have also been part of a major initiative of the State of Berlin to promote innovative digitization in archives, libraries and museums. With the help of the Rencay archive scanner, implementation of the initiative, which promotes digitization and online accessibility of selected collections, was possible on site. The project is funded by the European Union, or, more precisely, by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The varied genres of the selected objects illustrate the wide range of possibilities provided by high-end digitalization with Langfeld Engineering/Rencay products. But also addresses specific needs and potential solutions, that accompany the digital publication of diverse museum cultural assets. Thus, with the flexible solutions for top-view reproduction as well as with the Rencay archive scanner, diverse genres such as archives, photographs, drawings, paintings and sculptures can be reproduced to full advantage.
The Berlinische Galerie makes use of the exceptional image quality provided by the Rencay scanner for archiving, but also to create repro photographs of paintings, sculptures and other objects. With the help of Langfeld Engineering/Rencay products, a large number of collections will be made accessible to the public by September 2015. These include among others the extensive works of Hanna Höch and Raoul Hausmann, the merging and publication of which will form an unrivalled documentation of the DADA movement in Berlin.

All-purpose Digitizing System for Variable Format Sizes and Resolutions:
- Automatic object size setting
- Object sizes ranging from 10x15 cm to DIN A0
- Manual setting options for sensitive materials
- High-end image quality
- High performance
- Non-damaging LED illumination
By introducing the Rencay autofocus camera in combination with Kaiser repro stands (RSP, RSD), we provide an innovative and highly flexible solution for reproductions of reflective originals. Through the Renview software, the system can be automatically adjusted based on object size or the desired resolution, thus ensuring a quick and flexible reproduction of materials of all kinds.
By extending the system with LED transmitted light units, users can also digitize materials such as film strips, negatives, glass plates, etc.
